Eleven people from the fighting sides have been confirmed dead after two clashes in the Calmiskaad mountains of Puntland.
The Puntland forces, while on an operation, clashed with members of Daesh responsible for collecting livestock they eat in underground caves.
The first clash, which occurred early Sunday morning, resulted in the death of three Daesh members.
Later the same day, in the afternoon, there was a second clash where five Daesh fighters and three Puntland soldiers died.
Puntland is still engaged in a nearly year-long operation to drive Daesh out of the Calmiskaad mountains.
