Fatihya Abdi is Somali Woman and has Netherlands citizenship, joined the second house of Parliament on 12 November.
Fathiya is a member of GroenLinks-PvdA party, born in 1991 at Wageningen in Gelderland region.
She was previously elected as Amsterdam municipality council member.
Fathiya’s parents were refugees to Netherlands, she grew up Soest city.
She has 1st degree of political science and International relations at Amsterdam University, and also obtained master degree of International relations at Leiden University.
Fathiya become second Somali woman joined Netherlands Parliament, while Ayan Hersi was the first to do so.
