Kenyan President William Ruto met with United States Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, in Nairobi.
they discussed multiple issues, among those discussed is the current Somalia situation and what both countries can do.

“We also discussed our efforts to combat the threats of terrorism and violent extremism in Somalia.
Mr Landau underscored the need to reassess strategies employed in Somalia after more than 20 years of these challenges, and how best to support Somalia.” Said the state house of Kenya after the meeting.
