Ismail Omar Guelleh Djiboutian President is seeking his sixth re-election in next month’s election.
The parliament of Djibouti votes and removed age restriction for candidates for the President which gave him opportunity to seek re-election at age 78 now.
In October 2025 Djiboutian Parliament Sat and accepted request from Guelleh letting him seek sixth term presidence.
10 April 2026 is the date elections will take place in Djiboutian, his opposition accused him selecting low profile candidate to compete with him.
Since 1999 Djiboutian people haven’t seen other President than Guelleh who is still like to lead the ting state.
