The Republic of Somalia and Turkish Governments are jointly producing weapons and supplying Defence industry said.
High livel Somalia’s defense Ministry delegation visited Turkey to evaluate ways of working together.
The delegation lead by permanent secretary of the Ministry of Defence met MKE Industry team in Ankara.
Somalia and Turkey have defense and security cooperation pact which Turkey gave to monitor Somalia’s maritime security operations.
During the official visit, the Somali delegation engaged in comprehensive discussions with top executives from prominent, state-backed defense companies, including ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and MKE. The talks serve as a core component of Mogadishu’s broader initiatives to rapidly bolster bilateral ties and systematically improve Somalia’s national defense capabilities.
Also Turkey trains, equips and pay Somalia’s elite Gorgor Forces.
