H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today received a delegation from the United Nations Transition Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS), led by Officer-in-Charge Mr. Raisedon Zenenga, accompanied by Mr. Vikram Parekh.
Discussions focused on the UNTMIS transition and the evolving political and security landscape.
The State Minister emphasized Somalia’s commitment to a Somali-led transition that strengthens national institutions and consolidates progress in peace and state-building.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhanced coordination and sustained engagement to ensure international support remains aligned with Somalia’s national priorities, advancing long-term stability and development.
