Banadir Regional Police Commissioner Mahdi Omar said that a coordinated operations are underway against what he called spoilers.
The Commissioner advised the public to step away areas of the operations.
“A major security-clearance operation is underway; the public is advised to avoid the area.” said Mahdi.
He also said that there is no peaceful demonstrations today in Mogadishu as planned but, those claimed that they opposition are armed spoilers and Security Agencies will deal them.
The opposition accused the government that it attacked their residentials in Mogadishu to halt organised rally against outgoing president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
