For the first time the Federal Government of Somalia confirmed that Türkiye’s F-16 fighter jets conducted airstrikes against Al shabab in Godey vicinity.
Press statement from the Ministry of Defence confirmed that also airstrikes destroyed army storages.

Somali National Armed Forces with the support of Türkiye, carried out F-16 airstrikes in Godey, Lower Shabelle, today, eliminating approximately 35 Al-Shabaab terrorists, injuring more than 20 others & destroying terrorist hideouts, weapons caches and explosives.
