Reports from Baidoa city saying this morning that militants loyal to former Southwest State leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagaren attacked Baidoa city.
Witnesses said they attacked the city from different directions but failed to enter the city.
Laftagaren’s Spokesperson and former minister said they are willing to seize the city.
Federal Government of Somalia deployed dozens of units to defend the city from Laftagaren.
The Federal Government accused Laftagaren that he allied Al shabab to recapture Baidoa.
Federal Army and local forces ousted Laftagaren in March this year.
