Ethiopia’s Oromo liberation Army announced that they killed hundreds of Government soldiers, others captured as prisoners and catch of weapons in different regions of the country.
Statement from the OLA said that their forces got victory from Abiye’s Army a head of general elections planed on 1st June.
The statement is below:
The OLA has struck decisively against Abiy’s forces deployed to challenge our yesterday’s declaration. Across multiple theaters, regime soldiers have met swift and severe resistance.
1. In Jalduu District, West Shewa, the Central Command engaged enemy forces, leaving 62 regime soldiers dead and 50 wounded.
2. In West Arsi, a targeted action resulted in 8 killed and 10 wounded.
3. In Boosat, East Shewa Zone, operations have successfully halted traffic along the vital Ethio-Djibouti road—a strategic chokehold on the regime’s supply and trade lifeline.
4. In Saqalaa town, Horro Guduru Wollega, West Oromia, OLA fighters killed 45, wounded 65, and liberated 300 political prisoners from regime captivity.
5. In Baddeessaa town, Sibuu Siree, East Wollega, regime losses stand at 65 dead, 72 wounded, and 40 taken as prisoners of war.
6. In Surroo Barguddaa and Malkaa Sooddaa, West Gujii, the Southern Command freed more than 220 prisoners and confiscated a significant cache of weapons.
Day one closes with the regime on the back foot. The resistance endures. The operation continues.
The Federal Government of Ethiopia didn’t commented yet claims of the OLA.
