The state Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Omar stated that there is no interference from the US Embassy in Mogadishu, nor any preparations for the alleged meeting scheduled for May 13, 2026.
He confirmed that the reports circulating on this matter are entirely unfounded.
Additionally, the minister said that some opposition members have turned into former warlord leaders, sending letters to international bodies like the World Bank to pressure Somalia or halt support to the country.
He noted that this mirrors the tactics associated with the warlords who contributed to the nation’s collapse.
