Armed Somali men have killed seven people from the Kamba community in the village of Tseikuru, which is the hometown of the country’s former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka.
Tseikuru is located in Kitui County.
In a lengthy post on his Facebook page, Kalonzo called on the government to apprehend those responsible, describing them as pastoralists.
A few weeks earlier, members of the Kamba community had similarly killed four Somalis in another part of the county.
In a report released by the police, the killings were described as retaliatory.
Recently, tensions between the Somali and Kamba communities have been escalating significantly.
