United States of America named new Chargé d’Affaires at its embassy in Mogadishu following withdrawal of the ambassador.
Somalja joined list of African countries that US withdrew its Ambassadors to engage new diplomatic relations in line Trump’s America first policy.
Facebook post on the US Embassy page in Mogadishu said.
“Justin Davis has assumed duties as Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Mogadishu, ensuring continuity of U.S. diplomatic engagement and advancing U.S. interests in Somalia in line with the Trump Administration’s America First priorities.”
