Kenyan police have rescued 70 foreign nationals, mostly from Ethiopia, who were being held in a house by suspected human traffickers.
Among them were 66 Ethiopians and four Eritreans confined in a house in the Ruai area on the outskirts of Nairobi.
According to a statement on X by the Kenya Police Service , the victims told them they were fleeing problems in their home countries and were heading to South Africa in search of better opportunities.
Most East African men migrate to South Africa but face harsh journey to reach their target.
Smugglers take money from the victims with empty promises and end up jails.
