Somalia’s National Identification Registration Agency extends time to free registration to two months.
Notice from NIRA calls Citizens to register and get their National IDs before it change in to new charges.
Recently the Agency announced that almost one million citizens registered and most of them took their IDs without charges.
NIRA has registration centres in some federal member states while others opposed.
The deadline to free registration ends on Jan 31 , after that day it will impose charges to the new registering citizens.
NIRA announced that from January 2026 no citizen can leave the country without National ID.
