Somalia’s National Intelligence and security Agency NISA says it targeted Al shabab terrorists militants and some of their leaders in an operation conducted in Hiran region.
In a statement, NISA said its forces targeted a site where the militants were reportedly organizing fighters after monitoring the movements of senior operatives in the area.
According to the agency, those injured included Ali Hussein, described as a senior commander responsible for operations in central regions, Mowliid Jiis, identified as the group’s representative in Buuloburde district, and Mohamed Hiiraan, whom NISA described as the group’s representative in Jalalaqsi district.
Recently NISA increased its special Counter-Terrorism operations against terrorists militants.
