According To Reliable Sources Somalia Accelerates Multi-Domain Military Modernization
Somalia and Pakistan are in advanced negotiations for the procurement of SIX JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter aircraft, a 4.5-generation lightweight multirole platform jointly developed by Pakistan and China.
The package is said to be financed by Saudi Arabia and includes spare parts, pilot training, and long-term logistical and platform support.
Serbia is currently training Somali Special Force personnel on the operation of M-84 AC3 main battle tanks and UAV systems.
Somalia is expected to receive 17 M-84 AC3 tanks and drones in the next few weeks, alongside spare parts and ammunitions.
Somalia is also set to receive 30 Italian-manufactured Puma 4×4 armored personnel carriers (APCs), including related spare parts and support packages.
