Members of both houses of the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Parliament have issued a resolution against Israel and the illegal declaration by Netanyahu claiming to have recognized the Somaliland administration.
Comprising six points, the resolution strongly rejects all of Netanyahu’s claims, asserting that no one under any circumstances has the authority to divide Somali territory.
Israel and other states are therefore held accountable for violations against Somalia’s territorial integrity.
Somalia’s bicameral Parliament has urged the federal government to urgently present this resolution to the United Nations, African Union, Arab League, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and East African Community.
The Federal Government of Somalia has also condemned Netanyahu and his unauthorized, secessionist decision.
