Somali military officials officially confirmed the receipt of heavy weapons and modern military equipment from Turkey, Egypt, and Serbia.
These shipments are said to have significantly boosted the operational capacity and morale of the Somali Armed Forces.
Turkey’s support encompasses a wide range including infantry weapons, armored vehicles, ammunition, and command-control and night vision systems.
These shipments occurred simultaneously with the deployment to the field of the Gorgor (Eagle) Commando Brigades trained by Turkey at TURKSOM.
This situation demonstrates that Ankara has activated its capacity not only for training in Somalia but also for producing and deploying direct combat power to the field.
