The Federal Government of Somalia relaunched Forlanini Hospital in Mogadishu today.

The inauguration ceremony held inside the hospital shows resilience of the Somali people.

The Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama has inaugurated the rehabilitated, expanded, and modernized Women’s Mental Health ward at Forlanini (Lansareti) public hospital in Mogadishu on Sunday.

The new ward features modern treatment rooms, therapy spaces, and amenities designed to promote healing and recovery.

It will provide a range of services, including counseling, group therapy, and medication management, tailored to the needs of women suffering from various mental health conditions.

Built by Italy in 1928 to fight infectious diseases, the hospital was hugely affected by the civil war.
