The Federal Government of Somalia is considering to deploy over 5,000 Specially Trained Soldiers to the North.
Somalia plans to deploy more than 5,000 specially trained soldiers to the northern regions of the country, officials say.
The move is aimed at strengthening security and stabilising areas facing ongoing challenges.
The breakaway region is facing illegall aggression from Israel which claimed it had recognised the region.

Region’s leader is facing isolation and travel ban, while also emerging clan clashes in Awdal region were residents against separatists.
The new deployment will station Sool, Sanaag and Togdheer regions, officials anonymously said.
