Somalia’s president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and other invited African president will join Kenyans on celebrations of the Madaraka Dayon 1 June tomorrow in Wajir county.
Wajir county official commenting to this matter said “A warm and heartfelt welcome to His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud , President of Somalia, and to all distinguished Heads of State and Government attending the Madaraka Day celebrations in Wajir, the gateway to Northern Kenya.
We are honored to host leaders from Tanzania, Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and other brotherly African nations.”
This year for the first time in Kenya history Northeastern Kenya is hosting Madaraka Day.
