Somalia’s Southwest State parliament elected Aden Mohamed Nur Madobe as the new administration’s leader.
A voting marred by controversy, division, and rigging after one of the leading candidates rejected to participate because of voting froud.
88 of the 95 voted for Aden Madobe who is also holds Somalia’s Lower House Speaker.
Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden refused to join the voting hall after election Commission break the rules.
This means 92% of the Southwest State MPs voted for Aden Madobe while the remaining voted for Abdiaziz Mohamed Jawari.
Former Southwest State leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagaren who’s in exile in Nairobi still claims that he is the legitimate leader of the state after Federal Forces ousted him on March 30 this year.
