The Federal Government of Somalia has officially announced that more than 25,000 Somali soldiers and officers have been trained to date at the Turkish Military Training Base in Mogadishu.
This figure marks a critical milestone in the process of restructuring the Somali National Army and strengthening its institutional capacity.
Under the training programs, soldiers are being equipped with:modern combat techniques,disciplined military structure,advanced tactics and operational capabilities.
As Somali–Turkish defense cooperation continues to yield concrete and measurable results on the ground, the Turkish base in Mogadishu has become a key center for the modernization of the Somali Armed Forces
