Turkish Naval Task Force Command is providing logistical support, delivering grant aid and foreign military assistance to Somalia via sea routes, and supporting subsequent drilling operations by TPAO using the Çağrı Bey Drillship in Somalia’s maritime jurisdiction areas.
For this purpose, TCG Sancaktar, TCG Gökova, and TCG Bafra are operating in the Gulf of Aden, off Somalia, and the Arabian Sea.
This will help Somalia to train its naval forces and future take the responsibility of its waters’ security.
