The Türkiye Government has confirmed that it has taken steps to release the Turkish Ship hijacked by Somali pirates in Somalia waters.
Türkiye’s Defense Ministry announced that Turkish forces are providing the necessary assistance to Somali authorities, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, following the hijacking of a vessel in Somali territorial waters.
The Ship loaded with Armoured Vehicles and Weapons fall to pirates hands this week.
One of those pirates told media that the ship is belonging to a Somali and Turkish Mercenaries.
He rejects that Federal Government of Somalia or Turkish Republic owns the Ship as he claimed.
The pirates chief identified himself as Somali-American said the Ship is contraband loaded with illegal army equipment.
