The Commanders of 8th and 9th Battalions of the 60th division killed after the met an attack from former Southwest State leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagaren’ militants.

Laftagaren’s militias were regrouping recently at out skirt of Baidoa city.
Laftagaren lost Baidoa and Southwest State at large on 30 March 2026, when National Army forces ousted him from power after misunderstanding between him and the Federal Government of Somalia.
After his escape from Baidoa, Laftagaren announced Gorilla-style militia who conducts ambush attacks against SNA troops.
