The United kingdom calls Somali opposition parties to accept the invitation from the federal government of Somalia to join inclusive political dialogue in Mogadishu.
“The UK welcomes the FGS’ announcement of an inclusive national consultative conference in Mogadishu this February.
We encourage the Somali Future Council to participate in the process & urge all parties to reach consensus on elections for Somalia’s stability & prosperity.”
The Federal Government of Somalia announced that it will host meeting between FGS and Somali future council to end election model deferences on first February 2026.
