More than 50 Somali travelers were denied boarding at Hyderabad airport in India after being informed that their flight to Bosaso in Puntland had been canceled, according to airport and airline officials.
The disruption came after Air Arabia suspended its flights to Bosaso.
The suspension follows a recent decision by Somalia’s cabinet to pull out of all agreements with the UAE.
In a separate development, sources said around 150 Somali passengers remain stranded at Sharjah airport, waiting for onward travel to Somalia.
