The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Uganda informs Somali citizens residing in Uganda that there is a technical glitch in the passport system, leading to a temporary suspension of passport application processing and issuance.
Therefore, we kindly request citizens to bear with us until this issue is resolved.
We will share updates here on when application processing and passport renewals will resume, said the embassy.
Uganda is one of the most Somali diaspora are living, thousands of students, diaspora families from western, and also refugees are residing there.
Also the embassy is one of the busiest embassies that Somalia had abroad serving hundreds thousands of citizens.
