Somalia’s Cabinet fired SNA Commander Odawa Yusuf Rage and replaced Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud.
On their weekly meeting Ministers approved the appointment of the new Army chief Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud.
Ibrahim is one of the Military Officers trained by Turkey Government in recent years.
Before his new position he was the Commander of the Army’s logistics and support.
SNA alongside International partners including Turkey recently increased operations against militants in Somalia.
In this week for the first time Turkey land forces in Somalia involved direct combat with Al shabab at Middle Shabelle region.
