Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an official letter sent to the Eritrean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Eritrean forces have violated Ethiopian territory and are cooperating with armed groups, and demanded the immediate withdrawal of Eritrean troops.
Describing the situation as “outright aggression,” the Addis Ababa administration emphasized that if its demands are met, it is ready to engage in diplomatic negotiations on all issues, including access to the sea and the port of Assab.
