Chief of the Somali Armed Forces, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, accompanied by the Commander of the Ground Forces, Brigadier General Sahal Abdullahi Omar, and Gen. attended a ceremony in Mogadishu to bid farewell to U.S. military officers who had been stationed in the cities of Mogadishu, Kismayo, and the Balidogle airbase.
These officers have concluded their job duties in Somalia, and those positions have been officially handed over to new officers, who will continue the security and military cooperation between Somalia and the United States.
These officers worked with Somalia national army to degrade Al shabab terrorists militants.
