Somalia’s National Army court executed two Al shabab elements after court proceedings.
Abdi Abdikadir Mohamed and Farhan Mohamud Aden were sentenced death penalty for their killings against Civilians in Mogadishu.
Farhan Mohamud Abdinur Aden, 22, was found guilty of killing two soldiers in the Mogadishu suburbs of Elasha Biyaha and Garasbaley in February 2024. He was sentenced in May 2024.
Abdi Abdulqadir Mohamed was found guilty of killing an elder and a police officer in Daynile district of Mogadishu in February2024. He was sentenced in June 2024
The executions were carried out by the Military Court following a ruling from the First degree Court of the National Army.
Many Al shabab prisoners are in the Federal government of Somalia’s jails waiting executions.
