Somalia Army seized Laftagaren’s fighters positions at outskirt of Baidoa

Somali National Army alongside Southwest State forces captured militants a live and seized positions belonging to Former Southwest State leader militias.

After security operations allied forces also captured several militants loyal to Laftagaren.

Former Southwest State leader Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagaren organized clan militias loyal to him to recapture Baidoa city from new administration and Somalia’s national army.

Federal army and local forces ousted Laftagaren from Baidoa on 30th March.

Newly elected leader of Southwest State Aden Mohamed Nur Madobe is in Mogadishu after his election on June 10th.

National Army officials said the Newly seized positions will become forward operation bases to repulse Laftagaren’s fighters.
