The European Union recently appointed its new Ambassador to Somalia to lead its mission in Somalia.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Hassan Mohamed Ali, today received copies of the Letters of Credence of H.E. Laszlo Mathe, Ambassador-designate of the European Union to Somalia, along with the Letter of Recall of his predecessor.
The Deputy Minister thanked the European Union for its steadfast support to Somalia and its consistent backing of Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
He expressed the Ministry’s readiness to work with Ambassador-designate Mathe to deepen cooperation in peace and security, governance, trade and development.
