The acting US Ambassador to Somalia, Amb Justin Davis, and Africom Mission officials, held a meeting with Puntland leaders in Garowe today to discuss security, investment, and the exploitation of Puntland’s natural resources, in the areas of mining, fishing, and other resources.
The meeting cames as Somalia entered uncertainty over elections and Constitutional conflict.
Said Abdullahi Deni the leader of Puntland State received the US delegation from Mogadishu to discuss Somalia’s current political turmoil.
US and UK recently held brokered meeting between Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Opposition leaders to negotiate and avoid further insecurity.
