AUSSOM welcomes the United Nations Security Council’s unanimous renewal of the Mission mandate until 31 December 2026, reaffirming the international community’s commitment to peace, stability, and #security in Somalia.
AUSSOM is committed to fully implement this new mandate to the benefit of Somalia and the Horn of Africa. Said the mission.
AUSSOM changes its name from AMISOM, ATMIS and now AUSSOM for the last 18 years it is mission existing in Somalia.
It supports Federal Government of Somalia and its fight against Al shabab.
Also provides security to the UN compound in Mogadishu and Aden Adde International Airport.
