AUSSOM ENDF troops have donated foodstuffs to 100 vulnerable families in Gedo’s Buurdhuubo district as part of efforts to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Somalia.
District officials and community elders, led by Commissioner Ali Sharif, received and coordinated distribution of the assistance, thanking AUSSOM Ethiopian troops for their critical support amid severe drought conditions.
Col. Temesgen Aytonew, Commander of Buurdhuubo FOB, said the contingent aims to assist worst affected families and ease growing humanitarian pressures.
He reaffirmed AUSSOM’s commitment to working closely with local authorities to provide lifesaving aid and strengthen regional stability.
