Ethiopian parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives,
Tagese Chaffo, has visited an exhibition showcasing Iran’s defense industry achievements in Tehran, according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.
The delegation toured the Exhibition of Iran’s Defense Industry Achievements at the Ministry of Defense on Sunday.
The visit followed meetings with senior Iranian officials, including Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Mehr News Agency reported.
The Ethiopian lawmakers traveled to Tehran at the official invitation of Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Iran’s latest developments in the defense sector and observed a range of military defense equipment produced by Iranian experts and industries.
Mehr News Agency noted that Ethiopia, represented by the visiting delegation, is a member of the BRICS grouping. The Ethiopian delegation was accompanied by Manouchehr Mottaki, Chairman of the Iran–Ethiopia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
