Gulf states are rapidly turning to Turkish defence systems amid growing regional tensions and delays in US weapons deliveries.
Kuwait signed deals with Turkish defence giants including Aselsan, Havelsan, Baykar, Otokar and Yonca Shipyard.
Also Kuwait is interested in Baykar’s AKINCI UCAVs and Hisar air defence systems, while already operating Bayraktar TB2 drones since 2023.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar signed contracts for the Korkut 100/25 anti-drone air defence system produced by Aselsan.
Saudi Arabia is also seeking newly unveiled Turkish laser-guided anti-drone systems showcased at SAHA Expo.
Iraq is finalising the purchase of 20 Turkish air defence systems, reportedly Korkut anti-drone vehicles.
