Somalia’s outgoing President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed Mohamed Mohamud Hassan Garabey as the new Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA) Logistics Command.
The appointment aims to enhance the operational readiness and logistical supply-chain efficiency of the Somali National Army.
Brig. Gen. Garabey previously served as the military attaché at Somalia’s Embassy in Ankara, where he contributed to strengthening defense cooperation between Somalia and Türkiye.
In addition, Isaaq Bardaale, who served as Garabey’s assistant military attaché in Ankara, was appointed commander of the SNA’s 60th Infantry Division.
Those against outgoing president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s policy accused him that sensitive Army posts almost all appointed Türkiye trained Military Officers.
