Kenyan President William Ruto welcomes Egypt’s involvement in AUSSOM in Somalia after two head of states met on the sidelines of the AFRICA FORWARD SUMMIT in Nairobi.
Also Ruto requested Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi Egypt’s vote for the position of judge of the International Criminal Court where Kenyan Judge is running.
After the meeting Ruto wrote on his Facebook page:
“Held talks with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt on the sidelines of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi. We commended the strong relations between Kenya and Egypt and committed to continue strengthening our ties.
We reaffirmed our commitment to regional peace and security, especially in Sudan, Somalia, and South Sudan.
At the same time, I took the opportunity to seek Egypt’s support for Supreme Court Justice Njoki Ndung’u for the position of judge of the International Criminal Court.” said Ruto.
