Ahead of the African Energy Summit 2026, that brings together energy sector leaders, policymakers, investors, and industry stakeholders from the continent and beyond, I had the honor to hold a constructive meeting with the CEO and technical team of Libert Petroleum.
Our discussions focused on the company’s obligations and the next steps toward commencing offshore petroleum activities in Somalia, including operational preparedness and alignment with Somalia’s petroleum regulatory framework.
The Federal Government of Somalia remains committed to fostering a transparent, investor-friendly, and mutually beneficial environment for the sustainable development of our offshore resources.
