Lower Shabelle Regional Court today carried out the qisas (retributive justice) sentence against the accused, Maxamed Aden Isaq, who was found guilty of the murder of the late Sadiiq Ibraahim Ahmed.
The execution of the sentenced man took place in a public square in the town of Baraawe, where a large crowd had gathered, having long awaited the implementation of justice for the victim.
Before the execution he requested to forgive by the mother of late Sadiq while she was present at the firing squad.
But she rejected request and asked the Court to proceed the qisas of her son’s murderer.
