The Northwestern secessionist region denied that Israel has military base in Northern regions of Somalia.
The so called Defense Minister Mohamed Yusef Ali tells Reuters that there is no Israeli military presence in Somaliland, adding that there are no talks for Israel to open a base there
” Israel is training Somaliland’s military and police, the minister says, calling reports that Israel was in negotiations to establish a military base there as “rumors”.
This cames after Houthis authorities in Northern Yemen threatened to thwart any Israeli presence in Somalia.
Houthis said it will target ant entities linked with Israel through redsea or any other territory that is within its reach
