The Somali National Army have reached dambase village outskirt of Jilib District in middle Jubba region.
The Deputy Commander of the 162nd Battalion of the Danab Commandos, Lieutenant Abdi Risaaq Mohamed Kusane, said that after 15 years Somali Army are outskirts of Jilib Town an Al shabab stronghold city.
He said that his Army defeated terrorists and cleared the vicinity and its surroundings from the militants.
Alongside Jubbaland security forces, US trained Danab Brigade continue to chase terrorists hideouts.
Somalia’s Federal Government announced new offence against Al shabab from the sea to the river to secure Mogadishu and it’s neighboring regions.
