Somali president Receives Letters of Credence from Seven Newly Accredited Ambassadors

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today received at Villa Somalia the Letters of Credence of seven newly appointed ambassadors accredited to the Federal Republic of Somalia. The ambassadors were presented to His Excellency the President by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Ali.

The newly accredited ambassadors are:

1. H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Alim — Algeria
2. H.E. Ambassador João Alfredo dos Anjos — Brazil
3. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Adarsh Swaika — India
4. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Madou Diallo — Mali
5. H.E. Ambassador Aung Min Oo — Myanmar
6. H.E. Ambassador Danlami Ibrahim — Nigeria
7. H.E. Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz — Pakistan

During the ceremony, the ambassadors conveyed their priorities for advancing bilateral relations and cooperation between Somalia and their respective countries. President Hassan Sheikh welcomed the envoys and wished them a successful tenure, expressing confidence that their service would further strengthen ties across political cooperation, economic development, security, and social affairs.

The ambassadors, in turn, extended greetings from their respective heads of state and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their countries’ partnership with Somalia.
