Somalia and Türkiye to cooperate Security and diplomacy

The Federal Government of Somalia and Turkish Republic have agreed to cooperate several issues on between the two countries.

H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, met with H.E. Ambassador Musa Kulaklıkaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye on Monday, to reaffirm the longstanding strategic partnership between Somalia and Türkiye.

The two sides discussed expanding cooperation in diplomacy, trade, investment, security, education, and development.

The officials also exchanged views on regional developments and reaffirmed their shared commitment to peace, stability, and sustainable development.

H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar expressed Somalia’s appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.
