The Federal Government of Somalia has issued a written statement calling on the RSF group fighting in Sudan to stop the “criminal attacks” as described by the Somali government.
Somalia claims that this group targeted civilians and a World Food Programme (WFP) aid vehicle.
The Somali government urged RSF fighters to immediately and unconditionally cease the war.
The Somali government, which itself faces extremist groups controlling large parts of the country, appears to be signaling support to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which back Sudan’s internationally recognized government.
